Who are the Friends of St. James, Dingle?

We are a voluntary group formed to address the conservation needs of this heritage building and to manage the fundraising and other associated works.

Like many old buildings, St. James’ Church is in need of repair and restoration, the cost of which will be in the region of €500,000. Currently we are seeking donations for the restoration and upgrade of the facilities.

This project will include:

  • Toilet facilities including mains for water and sewer to be brought from the street.
  • Installation of a kitchenette.
  • Window casements and roof repair.
  • Treatment of wet rot and wood worm.
  • Heating and electrical upgrade.
  • Restoration and preservation of historic features.
  • Installation of a retractable stage.
  • Lighting and sound upgrade

Help us reach our goal.
